Dear Members and Parents,

The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Malahide Fingal Hockey Club will take place in August 2026.

**We Need Your Help**

Our club is built entirely on the commitment and generosity of volunteers. Unfortunately, following a number of recent resignations, we now have several key committee positions that must be filled to ensure the continued smooth running and future success of MFHC.

The following volunteer roles are currently vacant:

* *Club Chairperson*

* *Club Secretary*

* *Senior & Junior Coach Co-ordinator*

* *Club Umpire Secretary* 

* *Fundraising & Social Committee*

Note: Thank you to those of you who have volunteered to fill other roles including Treasurer, Fixtures, Development and Volunteer Co-ordinators, Social Media & Communications Managers and Child Safeguarding Officer. 

These are vital positions that support every player, team and coach throughout the club.

Whether you have a few hours each week or simply want to give something back to the club, we encourage you to consider getting involved. Many of these roles can be shared or supported by existing committee members, and guidance will be available for anyone taking on a position.

 Proposed Constitutional Changes

At this year's AGM, members will also be asked to consider proposed amendments to the Club Constitution.

Among these proposed changes are intended to allow parents and guardians of junior members to stand for committee positions and removing current restrictions to committee roles helping to widen the pool of volunteers and strengthen the future of our club.

 Please Consider Volunteering

Every successful sports club relies on volunteers. Without members stepping forward, it becomes increasingly difficult to continue providing the hockey experience that we all value for our players.

If you have skills in organisation, administration, coaching , communications, or simply enthusiasm and a willingness to help, we would love to hear from you.
